Emily Banks is a doctoral candidate at Emory University, where she also teaches as a lecturer in the Creative Writing Program. She received her BA from UNC-Chapel Hill and her MFA from the University of Maryland. Her first book of poems, Mother Water, will be published by Lynx House Press in 2019. Her critical work focuses on sexuality and the gothic in late-nineteenth through mid-twentieth-century American women’s literature.
